There has never been a better time to move to Central SOMA. In just a few months prices have dropped from record levels creating opportunities for lower rent and lower sale prices. A two bedroom/two bath rental that would have gone for as much as $6,000/month in 2019 at a building like the Palms or the Beacon now is available for $3,250. At the same time as we continue sheltering in place many neighborhood businesses might not reopen, or might be in a very different place.
Who knows what the future may hold, but lower prices and low interest rates mean this is an incredibly unique opportunity to upgrade or move to the neighborhood.
